Overview
Newsela is hiring a Customer Support & Billing Specialist to work remotely from the Philippines. You will be one of the primary points of contact for customers — primarily teachers — guiding them through the subscription and renewal process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct phone and email outreach to schools facilitating subscription renewals
- Generate quotes, process orders, and manage invoicing
- Discuss billing details including payment timing, billing addresses, and due dates with customers
- Provide basic troubleshooting and account support
- Track interactions and billing cycles using Google Sheets, Salesforce, or Excel
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or billing experience with U.S.-based companies
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets; Excel or Salesforce experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Availability for U.S. business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday)
- Legal work authorization in the Philippines
Details
Full-time, 40 hours per week contract position. Must have access to a personal Mac or PC for work.
