Job Description

Overview

Remote VA is hiring a full-time Bookkeeper to oversee financial operations related to credit card transactions, including processing payments, tracking expenses, and reconciling statements. This is a night shift (EST) work-from-home position with weekly pay.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, record, and categorize credit card transactions
  • Reconcile credit card statements with accounting records
  • Manage payment schedules to prevent late fees
  • Maintain financial records including accounts payable and receivable
  • Record daily transactions in accounting software
  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets)
  • Track and validate employee credit card usage
  • Organize receipts and documentation
  • Analyze spending patterns for cost savings
  • Generate expense reports for management
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing
  • Support audit processes

Requirements

  • Bookkeeping experience with credit card transaction management
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop or Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and reconciliation abilities
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
